No heat? Let’s find the cause.
A furnace problem does not automatically mean you need a new system. An ignition fault, dirty flame sensor, failed component, control issue, or airflow problem can interrupt heating. The right recommendation starts with finding what actually failed.
Cody, owner of Home Town Heating & Cooling, handles residential furnace service in Parker and Douglas County. We check the symptoms, evaluate the equipment, and explain the findings in plain language before you decide on a repair.
Common furnace problems we diagnose
- The furnace will not start or produces no warm air.
- The burners light, then shut off.
- The system cycles on and off repeatedly.
- The blower runs but the house stays cold.
- Unusual noises or thermostat problems interrupt heating.
The symptom helps guide the diagnosis, but it does not identify a failed part on its own. We troubleshoot the system before recommending parts or replacement equipment.
What happens during your visit?
First, we talk through what you have noticed and inspect the system’s operation. The checks depend on your furnace and the problem, including the startup sequence, ignition, flame sensing, controls, and airflow where relevant.
You receive an explanation of the fault and an upfront quote for the proposed repair. You approve the work before we proceed. Our $100 no-heat diagnostic call is credited toward your repair if you approve it. Ask about after-hours pricing when scheduling.
Repair, maintenance, or replacement?
We repair older furnaces as well as newer systems. Age is one part of the decision; condition, the failed component, repair cost, and your plans for the home also matter. We explain the options so you can decide what makes sense.
If your furnace is running and you want seasonal care, furnace service and cleaning is $150. If replacement makes sense, Home Town is an authorized Rheem dealer and can discuss equipment options. Financing through FTL Finance is available subject to approval.
